One week ago i applied to be a designer over at MooTwoDesigns, and guess what? One week later i have two kits on sale! You can go check them out here. yay! With that i totally needed a new blinkie. There are so many great designers out there, but i really wanted to try my own. So if you take a look over on the right side, you will see my green blikie i made all by myself. (Well, with the help of a tutorial that of course i can't re-find ... sorry great tutorial, you were totally fab and i'm sorry i did not bookmark you in time!) yay! after spending the afternoon on kevinandamanda.com i finally got my blog looking the way i want! How cool is that? I'm pretty excited! (which means i can now teach this in sessions *cough* or try to at least!)

Sorry about that! I promise to be better! Well, i have some pretty exciting news brewing. But i'm not ready so share just yet. But i will share this: Today over at The-Lilypad Kate Hadfield collaborated with Holly Designs to make a great! Movie Night kit. Here is the card i made with the kit:

It was super fun to make a card! And after all that, Kate invited the February guests to stay an extra month! YAY!

Yesterday The Lily Pad released their February BYOC (build your own collaboration) and Kate Hadfield used one of my pages! So exciting! It's on her blog and in the store! Then i dropped a whole heap of cash on the BYOC. So be sure to check it out!

After that, i worked really hard to finish my very own kit, and i did!!

So friday was another exciting day. Kate Hadfield posted my layout on her blog. Woo! I also finished my January Challenges from The-Lilypad! Another super exciting moment. So now i am just waiting for Tuesday to start my new challenges. Oh, i have another preview of my kit, what do you think?

Other than that, I'm just at work today and then homework homework homework. Maybe one of those homeworks includes a photoshoot with live models... hmm. Maybe...

I guess i need one of these after all. It will be nice, a place to share what is going on in my scrapping life. I'll post exciting news, tips, and share my latest creations.

First off, i woke up this morning to check Kate Hadfield's Blog and she has a link to mine in her Useful Links. That is pretty exciting. I almost feel like i am being featured on the today show.

Matt Lauer: Joining us today we have Heather Hess, creator of CornbreadCupcakes.com Heather welcome.

Me: Thanks Matt, it's great to be here.

Matt: Whose idea was it to create Cornbread Cupcakes?

Me: Well, I was wanting to create something for my awesome customers since there are really no resources for them anywhere else.

Matt: I have to ask, where did this name come from?

Me: We were having a dinner party at a friend's house. She had made cornbread muffins, and after i placed my butter on it, it looked more like a cupcake than cornbread. There is nothing wrong with butter!

Matt: No one can argue with that. We will be back in a few.

Ok, maybe not quite like that... but it is still super exciting!

That should be all for now, after learning some ups and downs this weekend from a whole bunch of trial and error. I'm not sure what it will be exactly, i am still moving around a couple ideas in my head. But! I have made a grid to write some alpha in so hopefully they will all come out the same size. I'll post more updates about it as soon as i get something exciting. Hopefully i can finish a set today since i will be at school and can use the super nice scanner.
